The beach is wide and spacious, providing ample space for sunbathing and relaxation. It is also adorned with fiddle-leaf fig trees, adding to its natural charm. The water at Long Beach is clear and inviting, making it a popular spot for swimming and snorkeling. The depth of the water gradually increases after 100 meters, making it a safe choice for families and individuals alike.
Despite its beauty, Long Beach is quieter than the main west coast beaches of Koh Chang. This is largely due to its remote location, which can be reached by following a small road down the Southeast peninsula. The road is a bit broken in places, and the journey involves navigating steep hills, windy roads, and sharp bends. Caution is advised due to fast-driving trucks. The journey from Klong Prao beach area takes at least an hour by motorbike.
The beach is less developed in terms of tourism, giving it an untapped feel. There are a few beach bar restaurants and basic hut-type accommodations available. However, it's worth noting that the beach is not as well-maintained as some of the busier beaches, and litter can sometimes be found on the sand and in the water. Efforts are being made to keep the beach clean and preserve its pristine condition.
