Spanning an impressive 10 kilometers, it is not hard to tell where Long beach gets its name from. The beach is part of the Long Beach Unit, which makes up one of three sections of the Pacific Rim National Park. The beach also goes by the name “the Surf Capital of Canada”. This name stems from its popularity among surfers, who gather here to enjoy the beaches' large waves and consistent temperature throughout the entire year.
