Luchice Beach, also known as Plaža Lučice, is a picturesque coastal spot located in the city of Petrovac, Montenegro. Known for its clear water and sandy terrain, it is considered one of the most beautiful and popular beaches along the Montenegrin coast.
The beach is shaped like a small bay, extending to a length of 220 meters. It features a variety of sand types and sizes, catering to different preferences. The entrance to the water is sandy, and the depth gradually increases, making it suitable for weaker swimmers.
Luchice Beach is divided into two sections. The first half offers the rental of sun loungers and umbrellas, while the second half is freely accessible. The beach is equipped with a centrally located beach bar, providing refreshments to visitors. Despite this, there are no small shops on the beach itself, so visitors are advised to bring their own drinks or purchase them from the nearby restaurants located across the promenade from the beach. These restaurants are known for serving a variety of dishes including seafood, grilled dishes, pizzas, and local cuisine.
On the left side of the beach, facing the sea, there is a pine forest that provides shade. Inside the forest, there is a children's playground equipped with slides, swings, and seesaws, making this location particularly suitable for families with children and people with sensitive skin. Visitors can also enjoy a short walk on the left side of the beach, which offers a perfect view of the beach through the trees.
Parking is available at Luchice Beach with a daily charge. However, visitors should be aware that the beach can get crowded, even on weekdays. Despite this, the beautiful view of the beach is often considered worth the visit. While generally well-received, some visitors have reported issues with cleanliness and maintenance, therefore, it is advised for visitors to bring rubber swimming shoes for comfort.
