Mckenzies Beach

Mckenzies Beach is a small and picturesque coastal spot located in Malua Bay, New South Wales. The beach is particularly favored by surfing, bodyboarding, and snorkeling enthusiasts, owing to its decent swell. Despite being in the process of recovery from bushfires that occurred in January, Mckenzies Beach retains its allure. Depending on the weather conditions, the direction of the swell, and wind, the beach can offer a sheltered environment, making it a safe and enjoyable place for families with children. While it can get a bit busy at times, it is generally not overly crowded. The beach is approximately 14 kilometers south of Batemans Bay and can be reached via George Bass Drive. However, visitors should be aware that the turn-off for the beach is not signposted. Parking is available off-street, in a carpark conveniently located next to the beach. Due to limited parking spaces, it is recommended to arrive early, particularly on busy days. It is important to note that Mckenzies Beach is an undeveloped beach and lacks amenities. There are no toilets or showers available, and visitors are advised to come prepared. Despite these limitations, entry to the beach is free of charge, making it an accessible destination for a day out in nature.
