Mollymook Beach

Mollymook Beach is a coastal suburb in the City of Shoalhaven, New South Wales, Australia. It is located approximately four kilometers north of Ulladulla, on the northern end of Mollymook beach, along the Tasman Sea's shore. The suburb, which is primarily residential, includes Bannister Headland and is located north of Mollymook. Its eastern border is formed by Blackwater Creek, and the southern part of the beach lies within Mollymook. The beach is known for its fine white sand, which is finer and more extensive than that found in Batemans Bay. The beach's natural characteristics also include a remarkable rock area at the south end, which resembles a waterfall with every large wave. When the tide is right, visitors can walk over the rocks to the south and explore the Bogey Hole's incredible rock pools. Mollymook Beach offers a range of amenities for visitors. These include public toilets and showers located nearby and drinking fountains. For those wanting to have a meal, there are barbecue places ideal for family gatherings. A popular cafe is situated not far off the beach, although the town may not have as many cafes as some others. The beach is patrolled to ensure the safety of swimmers. Swimming is considered safe at the north and south ends of the beach, where life-saving guards are stationed. However, visitors are advised to avoid swimming in the middle of the beach due to high waves and dangerous drifts. Surf schools are also available for those interested in learning how to surf. Parking at Mollymook Beach can be challenging, particularly on weekends when Beach Road tends to fill up quickly. Despite this, the beach continues to draw visitors who come to walk, relax, play in the waves, and have fun.
