Paralia Fikiada

Paralia Fikiada is a stunning beach located on the island of Sifnos. The beach is less crowded than most others on the island, providing a serene environment for visitors. Accessing the beach requires a bit of effort, but it is well worth it. Visitors can reach the beach either by a short boat ride or a hike through the forest. The hike is approximately 1.25 miles long and takes about 35-45 minutes to complete. The last part of the hike is steep, making it a bit challenging, but the breathtaking views of the beach make the effort worthwhile. It is recommended to bring water and food for the trip as there are no amenities available at the beach. Parking is available at a dirt track road off the Vathy tarmac road. From the car park, it is about a 3/4 mile walk to the beach. The walk is deceptive due to the steep descent towards the beach in the last third of the walk. The return trip to the car park is a tough climb and takes around 70 minutes. Therefore, it is advisable to reserve some water for the return trip. The beach tends to get busy around lunchtime, but early morning visitors can enjoy the beach in solitude. Despite the lack of amenities and the challenging access, Paralia Fikiada offers an unparalleled beach experience for those willing to venture off the beaten path.
