Paralia Kakkos is a popular beach located in the Koutsounari area, near Ierapetra. It is known for its crystal clear, warm water that is deep enough for diving. The beach is characterized by tiny pebbles and is usually calm, with almost no waves. However, there may be instances of dirty water. The beach is surrounded by a large luxury hotel complex, but it is freely accessible to the public. There are excellent parking facilities available for visitors. Sunbeds are provided on the beach, and there is a pool bar nearby where visitors can order a wide choice of food and drinks. A unique feature of this beach is the service button on the umbrella, which allows visitors to place orders without having to leave their spot. Despite being located near a luxury hotel, the beach is not exclusive to hotel guests. In fact, during certain times, such as July 2020, the sunbeds were made available for free to all visitors. However, there is usually a charge for the parasol set. While the beach offers very good service, it is worth noting that there are other beautiful beaches in the surrounding area.
