Pebbly Beach

Pebbly Beach is a unique and scenic location situated at Crescent Head. It is known for its distinctive natural characteristics, including pebbly rocks of all sizes and shapes, all smooth and round-edged. The beach is a geologist's paradise, with volcanic rock strata jutting out at right angles from the sea bed. Two large formations, known as 'little knobby' and 'big knobby', lie at either end of the beach. The beach is popular for a variety of activities. It is a good place for surfing, exploring around the rock pools, and fishing. During school vacations, it is common to see teenagers and adults diving or jumping from the cliffs of 'little knobby' into the sea. However, due to the choppy sea, unseen currents, and dangerous rips, it is not an ideal spot for swimming. Pebbly Beach is also a friendly place for families and dogs. Amenities include a small shop for grabbing lunch and a caravan park for ocean view stays. It is also a great place for picnics, walks, and photography, offering awe-inspiring views. Despite its popularity, the beach maintains a peaceful atmosphere, making it a highly recommended place to visit.
