Platja del Molló

Platja del Molló is a picturesque beach situated in Llançà, a municipality located in the Alt Empordà county of North Costa Brava. The beach is known for its natural beauty and serene environment, providing a tranquil setting for visitors. Its medium grey sand stretches over a length of 65 meters and a width of 10 meters, making it a relatively small but charming beach. The beach is nestled in an urbanized environment and is highly frequented during the summer months. Its orientation is towards the north-east, adding to its unique character. Despite being small, it is rich in marine life, housing a diverse range of species including jellyfish and occasionally, octopuses, which can be seen swimming near the shore. Platja del Molló is equipped with a variety of amenities to ensure a comfortable visit for beach-goers. These include showers, toilets, sunlounger and parasol locations, litter bins, cleaning services, and a children's play area. To cater to the needs of all visitors, the beach also features a rescue post and provisions for disabled adaptation. For refreshments, a bar is available on the beach. In terms of accessibility, the beach can be reached on foot, by vehicle, or by boat, with anchoring options available. Traffic signs are in place to guide visitors to the beach, and public transportation is also an option. A port is situated nearby, adding to the convenience. However, access to the beach is somewhat rocky, making it a bit laborious to get into the water from certain areas. Despite this, the stunning natural beauty of the area more than compensates for this minor inconvenience. As for parking, there is availability for vehicles. The beach is also surrounded by a seafront and is in close proximity to a coastal path. The high occupancy during summer indicates that the beach can be crowded during peak season, but its quiet and peaceful ambiance suggests that it is less crowded during other times of the year.
