Platja el Morer

Platja el Morer is a picturesque beach situated in the urbanized town of Llançà, within the Alt Empordà region of Costa Brava Norte in Spain. The beach stretches over 80 meters in length and 10 meters in width, with a southeastern facing orientation. It is characterized by its coarse golden sand terrain, mixed with gravel, and a seabed that is rocky and gently sloping, making it an appealing spot for snorkeling due to the active underwater life.

The beach features various amenities and services for its visitors. These include showers, a beach bar, rental services for hammocks, umbrellas, and skates, and a designated area for children. Lifeguard services are also provided, and the beach is adapted for people with disabilities. The surrounding environment of the beach includes a promenade, a forest, and marked access points, creating a pleasant atmosphere for visitors.

Access to Platja el Morer can be achieved either on foot, by vehicle, or by boat, with nearby public transportation and port facilities. The beach is accessible via Carrer Morer, a few stairs leading down to the cove. There are parking facilities available, including a few spaces on Carrer Jaume I. However, parking can be challenging during the summer months due to high visitor numbers.

The beach is part of an expansive area featuring several coves, all interconnected by the Ronde de Llança path. Despite a portion of this path being in poor condition, it still offers a pleasant walk for visitors. During the summer, Platja el Morer experiences a medium level of occupancy, often attracting crowds, particularly French tourists. Despite its popularity, the beach is known for its friendly and familial atmosphere.
