Unfortunately, the beach was significantly affected by a hurricane, which resulted in the closure of the enclosed ocean pool deck. The beach itself remains open, although it is not as pristine as it once was. Despite this, it is still considered a great place to hang out, especially for groups.
The beach offers plenty of parking, although access to the picnic areas is limited to foot traffic. Visitors are required to park by the gate and walk for approximately five minutes to reach these areas. Despite these changes, the beach continues to attract visitors, particularly on weekdays when it is less crowded.
