Point Impossible Beach

Point Impossible Beach is a picturesque locale situated around 100km from Melbourne. It can be easily reached via the Princes Freeway and Surf Coast Highway. The final stretch of the journey is a dirt road that should be driven cautiously. The beach is known for its beautiful white sand and wide expanse between the dunes and water. It is also a popular spot for surfing. The beach is unique in that it has a designated nude section, which spans approximately 1km in length. This section is clearly marked at the Torquay (western) end of the beach, although the eastern end is currently not marked. Visitors are advised to respect the boundaries and avoid venturing into the dunes or marked bird nesting areas. The beach offers ample parking with around 60 to 70 spots available in the car park. There are also male and female toilets provided for visitors' convenience. The car park is just a minute's walk from the beach, making it easily accessible. Despite its popularity, the beach is rarely crowded, providing plenty of room for everyone to enjoy. It is a great spot for strolling along the water's edge, with both clothed and nude individuals enjoying the walk and the sights. Visitors should be aware that the access road to the beach is gravel and can become corrugated, particularly after rain. This may require some caution when driving and potential car washing afterwards. Despite this minor inconvenience, the magnificent scenery and welcoming atmosphere make Point Impossible Beach a must-visit destination.
