Poliçe Plajı

Poliçe Plajı is a tranquil beach situated on the coast of the Black Sea. It is primarily known for its calm waters and pristine natural environment. The beach is accessible from either Kıyıköy or Demirköy, with the journey from Demirköy being slightly longer. The roads leading to the beach are somewhat challenging due to some portions being off-road and others featuring damaged stabilized roads. However, the beach can be reached with a high car or even a passenger vehicle, with the journey potentially taking over an hour.

Poliçe Plajı beach is characterized by its shallow waters, which do not exceed an average person's height even 25 to 30 meters from the shore. This makes it a safe and peaceful destination for families, although visitors should remain vigilant for sudden changes in wave intensity. It should be noted that there are no lifeguards on duty at the beach.

In terms of amenities, Poliçe Plajı offers limited facilities. There are toilets available for beachgoers, although their cleanliness has been questioned by some visitors. Despite the minimal amenities, the beach is a favored spot for camping, drawing visitors who prefer to stay overnight. There is a fee charged for both entrance to the beach and for setting up a tent. The cleanliness of the area is maintained by the visitors themselves, as there is no regular cleaning service provided.

Poliçe Plajı, while not an ideal location for fishing, offers a distinct sea atmosphere that differentiates it from other destinations. Despite the challenges associated with reaching the beach and the limited amenities, Poliçe Plajı remains a hidden gem in Thrace, attracting visitors with its natural beauty and serenity. The beach is not typically crowded, allowing for a peaceful and relaxing experience.
