Porto Pefko Beach

Porto Pefko Beach, Γιάλτρα is a serene coastal destination nestled in the municipality of Istiaia-Aidipsos, situated at the base of Mount Xerosouvales. The village, at an elevation of 150 meters, is characterized by the preservation of its traditional aesthetic, with stone buildings dating back to the 18th century. The village's focal point is the Agios Nikolaos church constructed in 1884 and a well-preserved old fountain from 1904. The beach, known for its picturesque sandy terrain and tranquil, crystal clear waters, is enveloped in a lush green landscape and surrounded by hills adorned with pine trees. Its calm waters are home to a diverse range of fish species, making it a popular spot for nature lovers. In terms of amenities, Porto Pefko Beach features a small beach bar where visitors can enjoy refreshing drinks while taking in the breathtaking views. In addition, the bar offers umbrellas and sunbeds for visitors to use, free of charge with any purchase. For those traveling by car, ample parking space is available at the beach. However, it's worth noting that the water depth increases rapidly a few steps from the shore, so visitors with children should remain vigilant. The beach is relatively close to Edipsos and can be reached via a well-maintained road.
