Plage du Poul is a serene and picturesque beach nestled in the bay of Douarnenez in Crozon, a commune in the Finistère department of Brittany, France. The beach is situated at the pointe de Guern and overlooks the île de l'Aber, offering a tranquil setting and breathtaking views. Stretching over 500 meters, the beach is characterized by a sandy cove that is particularly pleasant and calm, particularly during low tide. Reaching Plage du Poul requires a bit of a journey. From the center of Crozon, visitors can take the D887 towards Telgruc-sur-Mer, make a right turn towards the beach de l'Aber, veer left towards l'Aber, and pass through the hamlet of Kerglintin-Tréboul until they arrive at the parking area at the end of the cove. There are two routes to access the beach from the parking area, both of which are quite steep and long. One route involves a concrete staircase, while the other is a path. Due to the challenging access, visitors are advised to be in good physical shape.
In terms of amenities, parking is available near the beach. However, due to the steep slope, getting to the beach from the parking area can be a bit of a challenge. Despite these difficulties, the tranquility and natural beauty of Plage du Poul continue to draw visitors, making it a must-visit destination for those in the region.
