Pozo Teodoro

Pozo Teodoro is a secluded beach located on the coast of Isabela, Puerto Rico. It is often described as a hidden gem due to its natural beauty and lack of crowds. The beach is characterized by its clear water, which is great for snorkeling, and the presence of tiny fish adds to the charm. A distinctive feature of Pozo Teodoro is a natural rock cove that creates a sheltered area, making it ideal for swimming. The beach also has varying degrees of depth, but nothing too deep, making it suitable for families and children.

The beach is surrounded by sand dunes and coconut-filled trees, and the waves coming in create mini waterfalls in the rocks. There are also calm shallow pools of water and rock formations, adding to the beach's appeal. However, visitors should be aware of the rocks in the water as they can cause scrapes.

Despite its beauty, Pozo Teodoro does not have any facilities. There is no paved parking lot, so visitors will be driving and parking over fairly compacted sand. The beach is also devoid of shade, and the sand can get brutally hot, so it is recommended to come prepared with shoes, something to sit on the sand with, and something to sit under. Sunscreen is also a must. To reach the beach, visitors have to park on the side of the road and walk through some brush. Despite these challenges, the beach's tranquility and natural beauty make it a must-visit location for beach lovers.
