Punta Bunga Beach is a serene and peaceful beach located in Boracay, Philippines. It is situated behind a cape near the Kalikugan cave and close to Balinghai Beach. This beach is a public and free beach, however, access can be a challenge as all roads leading to Punta Bunga are private and heavily guarded. The beach can also be reached through nearby resorts or via a narrow path through a forest, a route best known to locals.
The beach boasts a wide and uncrowded coastline, making it an ideal location for those seeking tranquility. The sand at Punta Bunga Beach is clean, free of pebbles or seaweed, and has a slight pinkish hue. Shells can occasionally be found along the shore. A small green stone island is located south of Punta Bunga, and a rocky cape with a picturesque hotel borders the beach to the north.
The sea at Punta Bunga Beach is calm and clean, with a smooth descent into the water. This peaceful and natural environment is perfect for families with children, as there is a lack of noise or parties. Punta Bunga Beach is best visited during its peak season from December to May, characterized by arid, sunny weather with temperatures not exceeding 32°C. The wet season and hot summer occur from June to October, with rainstorms mainly occurring at night, allowing for relaxation in the shade during the day. Despite the rain, this period offers lower prices.
The beach is west-facing, making it an ideal spot for viewing breathtaking sunsets. There is also an amazing view of the beach from the hill above, particularly from the Tree House and Loft Villas that overlook the beach.
