Alternatively, affordable public transportation known as "pasajeras" (public collective taxis) can be taken from the center of Puerto Escondido. These taxis drop passengers off on the road and the main street of the Brisas de Zicatela neighborhood. From there, it is a 10-minute walk straight along the same street to the beach access. Direct taxis from the center to the beach entrance are also available.
