Puting Buhangin Beach

Puting Buhangin Beach is a small, clean beach located approximately 40 minutes from the city proper. The beach is not overly crowded, making it a peaceful destination for visitors. The sand is white and comparable to that of Boracay and the Maldives, contributing to its natural beauty. The beach was formerly a mangrove forest, and the first few hundred feet are littered with large stumps. However, at low tide, a white sandbar emerges past the tree stumps, offering a unique landscape. The beach is also home to a grassy area with a hut, providing a place for visitors to cook or camp. While the beach is not ideal for swimming due to the shallow water, those who are willing to swim a distance will find a good snorkeling area with impressive coral formations. There have also been reports of green sea turtles spotted in the area. Despite its natural beauty and tranquility, Puting Buhangin Beach lacks certain amenities. It is not open to the public and therefore lacks cottages and restrooms. However, it is a popular spot for picnics and family outings.
