Red Rocks Beach

Red Rocks Beach is a relatively quiet beach known for its shallow, albeit cold, waters. The beach is named after the red rocks that can be found along the shore. These rocks are more prominent towards the left side of the beach when descending from the stairs near the parking area. The parking lot, while small, is clean and conveniently located near a clean public toilet.

The beach's sand is fine, but it is often mixed with an unidentified black substance. The beach is also characterized by the presence of dried seaweed along the shores. Despite these natural characteristics, the beach is well-maintained with decent amenities such as an open shower, benches, and barbecue pits.

Red Rocks Beach is also a dog-friendly beach, although it is recommended to keep dogs leashed. It is also a popular spot for coastal walks and fishing, with salmon, mullet, and occasional flathead being common catches. Squid are also rumored to be found in the area, although they are elusive.

Despite its beauty and amenities, the beach is not usually crowded, even on weekends. This, along with its calm sea and beautiful scenery, makes Red Rocks Beach a peaceful getaway. Visitors are encouraged to maintain the cleanliness of the beach by taking their rubbish home.
