Plage de Rochelongue

Plage de Rochelongue is a beach located in Agde, a commune in the Hérault department of the Languedoc-Roussillon region in France. It is situated to the west of the center of the Cap d'Agde resort, near the neighborhood of Rochelongue, which offers a range of amenities. The beach spans approximately 800 meters and is divided into three sandy coves, protected by small dikes. At the western end of the beach, there is a more wild and natural cove. The beach is known for its strong sea conditions, with warm sea temperatures and great waves during the height of summer making it a popular destination for swimmers. The sand at Plage de Rochelongue is fine and well-maintained, adding to the overall cleanliness and natural beauty of the beach. It is bordered by a pedestrian promenade and is equipped with a surveillance station, showers, and toilets for the convenience of visitors. Unique to Plage de Rochelongue are sunbathing slabs situated on a small ridge of stones, offering a tranquil setting for visitors to relax and soak up the sun. Despite its popularity, the beach maintains a peaceful and serene atmosphere, which makes it a favorite among both locals and tourists. Access to the beach is facilitated by multiple entrances and parking lots. Visitors traveling by car can follow directions to Mail de Rochelongue, where there is a roundabout and a parking area on Raffanel Street. The beach is also divided into small coves by sandbanks, with rock barriers at the end, and stretches from Richelieu Beach to Grau d'Agde Beach.
