Despite being situated in a semi-urban setting, it preserves a natural feel, characterized by its sand dunes and coastal vegetation. It extends over 2 kilometers from the last parking area on Avenida del Mar to the end of Lake Victoria, a haven for water birds and a training ground for a local rowing club.

Playa de San Miguel is noted for its cleanliness, particularly on calm days with no waves or wind, when it is possible to see fish in the water. The beach is accessible, with an accessible seafront or pedestrian path available. During the summer season, from June 15th to September 15th, the beach offers accessible bathing points and technical help for swimming, such as amphibious chairs. However, it does not have adapted areas for showers. Despite these amenities, visitors are reminded that dogs are prohibited on the beach, and adherence to this rule is encouraged to maintain visitor satisfaction.
