Despite this, the beach is generally considered safe as it is supervised by lifeguards. The beach is equipped with showers for the convenience of its visitors. Parking is available adjacent to the beach, although space may be limited. The natural beauty of the area is enhanced by the presence of free-roaming horses and cattle in the nearby heights, adding to the tranquil and rejuvenating atmosphere of the place. The beach is susceptible to storms which have, in the past, significantly reduced the size of the beach at Cedeira.
