Praia de São Bruno is a picturesque beach located in the district of Lisbon, in the Oeiras e S. Julião da Barra, Paço de Arcos e Caxias region of Oeiras, Portugal. Nestled near the village of Caxias and the hamlet of Laveiras, this beach is known for its proximity to several significant sites in the region. The beach is easily accessible by train, with Caxias Railway Station being the nearest. It is one of the closest beaches to Lisbon, making it a popular destination for both locals and tourists. Praia de São Bruno is renowned for its natural beauty, featuring a sandy shoreline and a vast expanse of sea. However, the sea water can be quite chilly, which may not appeal to everyone. One unique feature of this beach is the small 17th-century fortress, Fort de Sao Bruno, that adds a historical charm to the area. In terms of amenities, Praia de São Bruno offers beach support, including sun guards and stretches. For the safety of beachgoers, a lifeguard is on duty. However, it should be noted that the sand is not treated and there can be a significant amount of garbage. The beach is located at an altitude of 8 meters (26 feet) and is situated at a latitude of 38.69832° north and a longitude of -9.27379° west. The area around Fort de Sao Bruno has been under construction since November 2016, aiming to enhance the overall experience for visitors, making Praia de São Bruno an even more attractive destination.
