Saulkrasti

Saulkrasti, a town located in Latvia, boasts a beautiful shoreline known as Saulkrasti Beach. The beach is situated approximately 50 km from Riga and is renowned for its White Dune, which contributes to the warm and sunny climate. The beach spans several kilometers, is less crowded than Jurmala, and features fine yellow sand and pine trees. The water entry is gentle and the sea is calm, making it an ideal location for families with young children. Visitors can take advantage of changing rooms, cafes, and equipment rental centers on the beach, as well as partake in activities such as catamaran and jet ski rides and paintball. The Sun Path Natural Park begins at the White Dune and offers pedestrian paths. The optimal time to visit is during late July and August when the air temperature is pleasant and the water temperature occasionally reaches +22...+23˚С. Visitors should keep a close eye on the weather as it can be unpredictable in Latvia.
