Seepromenade

Seepromenade is a waterfront promenade situated in the town of Sankt Gilgen, in the Salzburg region of Austria. It offers a breathtaking view of the Wolfgangsee lake and the Alpine panorama of the Salzkammergut region. The promenade has been redesigned by Studio Boden from Graz, Austria, and now features 20 benches made with natural larch wood and graphite gray frames, allowing visitors to comfortably enjoy the stunning views.

In addition to its natural beauty, Seepromenade is also home to the Wassersportzentrum Engel, a water sports center that has been operating since 1956. The center offers a variety of water activities such as boat rentals, tubing, banana boat rides, and stand-up paddleboarding.

To reach Seepromenade, visitors can choose to travel by bus or car. The bus line 150 makes a stop at the Sankt Gilgen train station, which is only a 10-minute walk away from Seepromenade. For those who prefer to drive, there are several parking options available. The Ischlerstraße parking lot and the parking lot near Mozarthaus both offer hourly and daily rates, while the parking area along Seepromenade allows for a maximum parking duration of 1.5 hours.

Seepromenade is also a popular beach location known for its pristine waters and the surrounding town's colorful, wooden houses decorated with vibrant flowers. The town offers several amenities like a children's playground located on the lake and a cable car that provides an aerial view of the town and lake. The beach is a popular stop on boat tours and despite its popularity, it is not overly crowded, offering a peaceful retreat for visitors.
