Shelly Beach

Shelly Beach is a secluded beach known for its natural beauty and tranquility. The beach is characterized by its rocky terrain, which makes it less suitable for swimming but offers a unique landscape for visitors to explore. One of the highlights of visiting Shelly Beach is the scenic 900m walk from the car park to the beach. The path winds through a wonderful piece of bushland with giant gums and massive tree ferns, providing a magical experience for visitors. Along the way, visitors might spot an echidna, lizards on the rocks, or even a starfish in a rock pool. The beach is accessible via a downhill path with many steps, which may be a bit challenging on the way back as it is uphill. Despite this, visitors find the journey worth the effort for the beautiful scenery and the opportunity to have the beach all to themselves. The beach also features interesting rock shapes on the cliff, adding to its charm. There are also rock pools that visitors can explore. However, visitors should be aware that the beach to the left may be cut off at high tide.
