Smiths Beach

Smiths Beach is a popular destination located in Phillip Island. It is known for its beautiful sandy beach and occasional surf, making it a great safe beach for families. The beach is also suitable for both kids and adults, with shallow areas, rougher and deeper sections, and little rock pools that appear at low tide, offering opportunities to find sea creatures. The beach is equipped with good facilities, including public toilets and filtered drinking water provided by the local council. However, visitors are advised to bring their own soap as this is not typically provided. The beach is also a popular spot for surfing, especially on days when white caps are visible, as the shape of the cove often provides shelter. Access to the beach is straightforward, but parking can sometimes be challenging due to its popularity, particularly around 8am on weekend mornings. Therefore, visitors are advised to arrive early to secure a parking spot.
