Cala Sonreiras

Cala Sonreiras is a small and picturesque beach situated in Cedeira, a coastal town in A Coruña, Galicia. There are wooden stairs in good condition that lead down to the beach, with the starting point about 200 meters from the car park.

Cala Sonreiras is 20 meters long and has an average width of 10 meters. Its isolated location and limited accessibility mean that it does not get too crowded, even during the summer months. However, due to its small size and popularity, it can attract a significant number of visitors.

The beach does not have many amenities. There is no surveillance, anchoring zone, parking, bus service, train or taxi service, and no kiosks or restaurants on site. There are also no showers, changing rooms, trash cans, or public address systems. However, there is a picnic area for visitors to use, and accommodations such as hotels, campsites, and rural houses can be found nearby. There is also a diving area for those interested in exploring underwater.

Despite the lack of amenities, the natural characteristics of Cala Sonreiras make it a popular destination. Its calm waters, clear water, and spectacular landscape make it a prime spot for relaxation and appreciation of nature. Visitors are also able to explore the town center of Cedeira, which offers various amenities such as supermarkets and entertainment venues.
