South Beach

South Beach is a wide sandy beach located on the beautiful Suffolk coastline, on the east coast of the UK. It is known for its clean and spacious environment, with a well-designed promenade that features separate lanes for cyclists and pedestrians. The beach is divided into two sections, one side is more pebbly while the other side is sandier. Both sections are well maintained and lifeguards are often visible, patrolling the sea and using the flag system to indicate safe swimming areas. The beach is equipped with numerous amenities including beach huts, toilets, and plenty of bins for rubbish disposal. There are also plenty of places to eat and drink along the seafront. The beach is a short walk from Claremont and South pier, although access to the pier may not always be available. Parking is readily available near the beach, with both metered parking and some free spots for those willing to venture further. The beach is also accessible for beach volleyball, with soft sand near the huts. Temporary toilets are provided when the main ones are out of order. South Beach is known for its relaxed atmosphere and is not too overcrowded, even on bank holidays. It offers plenty of room for visitors to sit, relax, and watch the world go by. The beach leads into the town and if you walk right along the beach, you will come across a pavilion, pub, and then the town centre. South Beach is also notable for being located at the most easterly point in the UK, offering a great spot to capture a sunrise.
