South Kingscliff Beach

South Kingscliff Beach is the northern end of Cabarita Beach, which is renowned for its sand, surf, and swimming. The beach can sometimes experience rough surf conditions, so visitors are advised to stay within the designated areas marked by the surf life saving flags. The beach is an excellent location for beach walks, with a bush reserve separating the beach from nearby houses, providing a sense of seclusion. A shared bike and walking path on the west side of the reserve connects South Kingscliff Beach to Pottsville in the south and Tweed Heads in the north. The beach is also dog-friendly, with a short section at the northernmost end designated as an off-leash area, provided the dogs are under control. The rest of the beach requires dogs to be on a leash. The beach is patrolled by rangers from time to time. The beach offers plenty of shaded car parks, and dogs can be taken from the car to the beach without a leash due to the immediate access. However, there is no shade along the beach itself. Visitors are reminded to bring their own waste bags for their dogs. The surf at South Kingscliff Beach can be a bit too rough for some dogs. The beach is also a popular spot for watching the sunrise, providing a breathtaking view.
