Strandbad Velden

Strandbad Velden is a popular beach located on the shores of Lake Wörthersee. It is a great place for everyone, including families, to spend a day swimming and relaxing. The beach is characterized by its small garden with access to the lake. However, it can get overcrowded, making it difficult to maintain a safe distance from others. The beach offers various amenities for its visitors. You can rent sunbeds and umbrellas, although you will have to carry them to your desired spot and return them to receive your deposit. It's also worth noting that the sun umbrella supports, which weigh around 20 kg, are randomly scattered around the garden. Parking is available at the nearby Casino Velden, including an underground option. You can park there the whole day until 8pm for a small fee, provided you get your parking ticket stamped from Strandbad Velden. The beach is just a short 2-3 minute walk from the parking area. Visitors are allowed to bring their own beach chairs, but parasols must be rented from the beach. Despite the amenities and the beautiful location, some visitors have reported an unpleasant attitude from the staff at the ticket office.
