It is the home of the Wassersportsparte, a water sports division of the Surendorfer Turn- und Sportverein von 1946 e.V., which boasts around 50 active sailors, surfers, kiters, and stand-up paddleboarders. The division organizes regular training sessions and beach camps for its members, making the beach a favorite spot for both experienced water sports enthusiasts and beginners.
The beach is also equipped with various amenities to ensure a comfortable visit for all beachgoers. These include a beach café serving waffles and coffee, a surf and sailing school, boat rental, and beach chair rental. For convenience, the beach offers around 700 parking spaces, which are subject to fees during the season. Strandkorbs, or beach baskets, are available for visitors to use, adding to the beach's charm.
