Thiorichia Beach

Thiorichia Beach is a unique and beautiful location, known for its natural beauty and tranquility. The beach is characterized by its lovely sand and small pebble terrain. The water is deep, but waves are typically small or non-existent due to the lack of wind in the area. This makes it an ideal spot for snorkeling. The beach is also notable for its old abandoned mine, adding an eerie yet intriguing element to its landscape. Despite its charm, the beach is often quiet and not crowded, offering visitors a peaceful and serene environment. Getting to Thiorichia Beach requires a bit of a journey. The last 3 kilometers of the road leading to the beach are without asphalt, making it rocky, sandy, and steep at some points. A vehicle with a lot of ground clearance, such as a larger car or an all-terrain vehicle (ATV), is recommended for the final approach due to the uneven road and large rocks. However, it is also accessible by smaller cars or buggies. There's a small sign that signals the beach, at which point visitors will need to leave the main road and drive on a rural one for about 7-8 minutes. Once at the beach, it is advised to park and then walk down to the beach as many cars have gotten stuck in the past. Visitors should also be prepared with water and appropriate footwear for walking or hiking. While the beach offers some points of natural shade, there are no other facilities available. Despite this, the unique and magical atmosphere of Thiorichia Beach makes it a worthwhile destination.
