Plage du Ty Guard is a scenic beach nestled in the popular resort town of La Trinité-sur-Mer, situated in the Morbihan department of the Bretagne region in France. As the southernmost beach in the town, it is named after a house located on Kerbihan point, a site historically used by customs officers for monitoring the bay of La Trinité. This house is now privately owned. The beach itself is known for its fine sandy stretch on one side, providing a perfect spot for relaxation and leisure. However, access to the sea can be challenging due to the rocky terrain, particularly at low tide. Despite this, the beach's natural beauty and preserved environment make it a popular tourist attraction. Getting to Plage du Ty Guard involves taking the D186 road and following the signs towards Kerbihan point. Visitors can also access the beach via a circular walk from other beaches in the area, providing a delightful 40-minute coastal journey with stunning sea views. This footpath is pram-friendly but may be slightly narrow for wheelchair users. Upon arrival, visitors will find a shaded parking area conveniently located next to the beach. The beach is further distinguished by its old trees that provide shelter, creating a serene and private atmosphere. This tranquil setting, combined with the magnificent sea views, makes Plage du Ty Guard an ideal spot for reading and relaxation, often likened to an open-air living room.
