Tzortzi Gialos Beach

Tzortzi Gialos Beach, also known as Tortzi Beach, is a serene and picturesque location on the island of Alonissos in Greece. It is located about 6.5 km from Patitiri, and can be accessed by boat or car. The journey to the beach takes visitors through a scenic pine forest. Despite being a popular destination, especially during the high season of July and August, the beach is not heavily crowded, offering visitors a tranquil seaside experience. The beach is situated in a protected cove and is known for its striking blue-green water, which is shallow and gently declines into deeper areas. This makes it an ideal spot for snorkeling and for families with small children. However, the terrain is rocky, making it challenging to walk along the beach or set up an umbrella. Visitors are advised to swim about 20 meters out to reach the clear waters. Tzortzi Gialos Beach is long and narrow, with a width of approximately 2 meters. It is surrounded by trees such as cypress and olive trees, which provide some shade. However, the beach is not heavily shaded as there are not many trees in the area. Despite the lack of sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, the beach offers other amenities including a nearby tavern for food and coffee. There is also a parking area close to the beach, adding to its convenience. Despite the rocky terrain and lack of sand making access to the sea challenging, particularly for individuals with special abilities, the beach's natural beauty, serene atmosphere, and refreshing waters make it a unique and must-visit destination.
