On one side of the beach, the waves are very little, ideal for young children. On the other side, the waves are bigger, perfect for older kids. Additionally, there are rock pools on the side with the bigger waves. The beach is well-equipped with amenities. There is a barbeque area, clean toilets, and an outdoor shower facility. These facilities are also available in the free car park area. The car park is spacious, providing plenty of parking spaces for visitors. The beach is also a popular spot for dogs. It is an off-leash area, making it an excellent place for dogs to run around. However, it is worth noting that the beach can be rough, making it less suitable for swimming but great for playing fetch on the sand. Despite its roughness, Washhouse Beach offers beautiful views, making it a great place for relaxation and exploration.
