There is also a less crowded free beach area located at the mouth of a nearby lake. As for parking, there is a paid parking area available. However, finding a parking spot can be challenging due to limited spaces, particularly during peak times. An alternative parking area known as 'Parcheggio dei Turchi' is available for visitors who don't mind a hike to reach the beach. To get to Spiaggia Alimini, one can drive from the city of Otranto, which takes about fifteen minutes. Upon arrival, a short walk through a pine forest leads to the beach. Additionally, a shuttle service from Otranto to the beach is available for the convenience of visitors. During the off-peak season, particularly in October, the beach offers a more tranquil experience with fewer crowds, allowing visitors to explore more secluded areas of the beach. With its clear, green-blue waters and picturesque scenery, Spiaggia Alimini provides an almost Caribbean-like experience.
