Anzio

Anzio is a sought-after coastal destination situated approximately 60 kilometers south of Rome. Its extensive expanse of golden sands is flanked by a promenade that is hemmed in by palm trees. The crystal-clear and tranquil waters create an ideal environment for swimming and various other water-based activities. In addition to its sandy shores, Anzio boasts an array of cultural landmarks, including the ancient Roman ruins of the Villa of Nero and the Anzio War Cemetery that serves to honour the memory of the soldiers who lost their lives during the Allied invasion of Italy in World War II.
