Cala Baladrar, situated in Benissa, Alicante, is a serene and picturesque beach known for its clean and crystal-clear waters, making it an ideal spot for diving, snorkeling, and observing marine life. The beach is nestled between the towns of Calpe and Moraira and is accessible via the CV-746 road, also known as Avinguda de la Marina.
The beach is characterized by its large pebbles and a narrow shoreline, stretching 150 meters in length and averaging 25 meters in width. The surrounding rocky landscape and towering pine trees that almost reach the water's edge add to its secluded and tranquil atmosphere, making it a popular spot for photography. Despite its relatively small size, the beach's unique environment and stunning turquoise waters continue to attract visitors.
Cala Baladrar is well-equipped with amenities for visitors' convenience. The beach is monitored by lifeguards, ensuring the safety of visitors. There is also a beach bar nearby that offers breathtaking views of the sea and the PeƱon de Ifach in Calpe, along with delicious food. In addition, a scenic viewpoint with benches and tables is available for picnics or meals.
Parking at Cala Baladrar is limited, with approximately 20 to 25 spaces available at the beach itself. Additional parking can be found along the main road, although parking restrictions may apply in these areas. Due to its natural characteristics, the beach can experience heavier swells compared to surrounding coves, and the large pebbles can make entering and exiting the water somewhat challenging. However, these factors do not detract from the overall appeal of Cala Baladrar. Despite its seclusion, the beach is rarely crowded, maintaining its peaceful ambiance.
