Despite its wild and natural appeal, Praia da Barreta does not lack amenities. It offers beach services such as beach support and recreational support. A restaurant is also available on-site, which provides 60 umbrellas and 120 sun loungers for the visitors. There is a designated area for naturism approved by the Municipal Assembly of Faro.
The beach is easily accessible by sea, with daily boat departures from Faro throughout the year. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes, and the ferry schedule includes multiple departures from Faro and returns from Ilha Deserta. The beach is also within walking distance from Lagos train station, approximately a 25-minute walk.
Praia da Barreta is well-maintained and clean, thanks to the efforts of Faro, Gestão de Águas e Resíduos, E.M. (FAGAR). However, visitors are urged to respect the environment and refrain from leaving rubbish on the beach. Despite its accessibility, the beach is not overly crowded, even during peak seasons, making it an ideal spot for those seeking tranquility and relaxation amidst natural beauty.
