Playa de Benijo is a captivating beach located in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, a part of the Canary Islands. While there are no facilities directly on the beach, there are several restaurants nearby where visitors can enjoy local cuisine.
Parking at Playa de Benijo can be a bit tricky as there is no dedicated parking area. Visitors usually park their vehicles along the sides of the road, making sure not to obstruct traffic. The beach is easily accessible by car, despite the somewhat challenging road featuring typical curves and ups and downs found throughout the island.
To reach Playa de Benijo from Santa Cruz de Tenerife, one needs to follow Avenida Marítima TF-11 towards San Andrés. From there, take the second exit at the roundabout towards "Taganana/Almáciga" on road TF-12. Continue on this road until reaching the town of Taganana. After passing Roque Las Bodegas beach and Almáciga beach, a sharp right turn leads to the path to Playa de Benijo.
Playa de Benijo is known to have a medium occupancy during summer and low occupancy for the rest of the year, making it less crowded compared to other beaches. However, it is worth noting that this beach is frequented by nudists. Despite its seclusion, Playa de Benijo is considered one of the top three beaches in the Canary Islands and offers visitors a chance to witness some of the best sunsets in the region.
