Caló de sa Torre

Caló de sa Torre is a picturesque beach located in the municipality of Santanyí on the island of Mallorca, one of Spain's Balearic Islands. The beach is nestled within two small coves, separated by a low rocky point, and is known for its white sandy shore mixed with rocks. The beach stretches approximately 35 meters in length and 25 meters in width. Despite its small size, it tends to be quite crowded, particularly during peak season. The beach's semi-urbanized setting contributes to its popularity, as it is situated within a residential area. Characterized by calm waters, Caló de sa Torre offers a safe environment for swimming. Its secluded bay, protected from the open sea, is particularly suitable for water sports. Visitors can engage in activities such as sailing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. Snorkeling is also popular, with many visitors preferring to enter the water from the rocky sides of the bay. Despite its popularity, the beach does not offer amenities such as restaurants, disabled access, or recommended scuba diving. During peak season, the available parking may not be sufficient to accommodate all visitors. Access to Caló de sa Torre is relatively easy, with clear indications on how to reach the beach in the area. Visitors can reach the beach either on foot or by car, with the nearest marina, Porto Petro, located 1.4 kilometers away. An alternative route to the beach is through a small pathway adjacent to the beach, which also connects to the next beach and leads to the port of Porto Petro, offering a pleasant walk. Despite the occasional current that can bring trash into the bay, Caló de sa Torre remains a beautiful and relaxing place, often inspiring visitors to create art.
