Cala Saladeta, located in the northern part of Ibiza near San Antoni de Portmany, is a picturesque beach known for its clear, transparent waters and pristine sandy shores. This protected cove is divided into two parts, with the first being more accessible and housing a cafe bar. The second, a smaller sandy beach, requires a brief walk and a bit of climbing to access.
The beach often becomes crowded, particularly during peak hours, making it difficult to find a spot for a towel and umbrella. Despite the congestion, many visitors find the overall experience rewarding. However, due to its stony nature, the beach may not be suitable for children or those traveling with infants, as the path to it can be challenging.
Visitors driving to Cala Saladeta can use the free parking area, although space can become scarce as the day progresses. It is suggested to arrive early, between 8-10am, to secure a parking spot. If the parking area is full, visitors can park their cars 10-15 minutes walking distance away, or choose to use public transportation like a taxi or bus. From the parking area, there are two routes to the beach: a staircase or a road leading to Cala Salada, with a short walk to Cala Saladeta.
Amenities at the beach are minimal, with only a single lifeguard and restaurant bar at Cala Salada. As such, visitors are advised to bring their own water and supplies. The swimming area is relatively small, and while the water is clear and beautiful, it may not be optimal for activities such as snorkeling. No showers are available at the beach.
A unique characteristic of Cala Saladeta is the absence of a signal in the area. This allows visitors to fully disconnect and immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the beach and its surroundings.
