Playa Canalan

Playa Canalan is a semi-private beach located within the La Mandarina complex. It is primarily accessible to guests of the One and Only hotel and La Mandarina. The beach is known for its natural beauty, with a long stretch of sand that allows for leisurely walks and the feeling of being on a virgin beach. However, visitors should be aware that the sea can be choppy, and it is important to respect the flag system for safe swimming. One of the unique features of Playa Canalan is its river mouth, which is home to crocodiles. Visitors are advised to exercise caution in this area. Given the beach's location, it can get very hot during the day, so it is recommended to bring water, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat for sun protection. Access to Playa Canalan is through the facilities of the One & Only Mandarina hotel. The paths to the beach are somewhat hidden, but guidance is provided. The walk to the beach is approximately ten minutes. There is also a parking lot outside the Mandarina complex for those who prefer to drive, but it requires a further 20-minute walk to reach the beach. Despite the somewhat difficult access, visitors often find the beach well worth the effort due to its well-maintained condition. It should be noted that Playa Canalan may not be accessible to the public at all times, as there have been instances of access being restricted due to private works.
