Playa Castro

Playa Castro is a spectacular beach located approximately 25 minutes from the main road. This beach is known for its stunning natural characteristics, including numerous palm trees and two waterfalls, although the waterfalls may not be as prominent during dry seasons. The beach is surrounded by beautiful scenery and offers several footpaths that provide breathtaking views of the beach and its surroundings. The beach is accessible by both bus and car, however, parking can be challenging due to limited spaces. The journey to the beach involves a walk with many scenic views, and although the way up may be somewhat strenuous, visitors often find it worth the effort. Playa Castro is often quite crowded, especially on weekends. The beach's natural features include a rocky terrain and large waves, which may deter some from swimming. Despite these challenges, many consider Playa Castro to be one of the most beautiful places on Earth and one of the nicest beaches on the island.
