Playa Colorada

Playa Colorada is a secluded beach known for its thick, golden sand and beautiful scenery. It is characterized by its tranquility and lack of crowds, making it a perfect getaway for those seeking solitude. The beach is surrounded by a jungle and rocks, and low hanging coconuts are a common sight, adding to its natural charm. The beach is accessible via a fun hike, which is partially poor and very steep, but offers beautiful viewpoints along the way. The path can be taken from Las Galeras, branching off at the Playita Way Hostel. However, due to its secluded nature and difficult access, there are no nearby hotels or facilities of any kind, including life guards. Therefore, visitors are advised to bring their own food and water, and to ensure they do not litter. The water at Playa Colorada can be rough, making it suitable only for good swimmers or when the sea is calm. However, there is a small spot to the right of the beach by the jungle and rocks that is calm enough for a swim. Despite its beauty, the beach is not recommended for children due to its large holes and difficult access.
