Spiaggia di Calalunga is an enchanting beach located in the town of Peschici, in the province of Foggia, Italy. Resting on the furthest point of the Gargano peninsula, it lies about 7 kilometers from Peschici and 16 kilometers from Vieste. The beach stretches for nearly 300 meters, boasting a wide sandy coastline that is hugged by verdant forests. Its crystal-clear turquoise waters are known for their transparency, offering breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea, and are ideal for windsurfing and other water sports. The beach is surrounded by cliffs blanketed in forests, with the adjacent area rich in pine forests, rocky coves, and captivating caves that are ready to be explored. Despite its popularity, it is not overly crowded, particularly in the early part of June, providing a tranquil oasis away from the city center. Spiaggia di Calalunga is well-equipped with numerous amenities for visitors. It offers a relaxation area complete with sofas and poufs, children's games, bocce and beach volleyball courts, hot showers, and bathrooms. Visitors can rent sunbeds, deck chairs, umbrellas, and cabins at reasonable prices. Moreover, it features a self-service bar and restaurant on-site that serves ice cream, snacks, and refreshments. However, it may not be open every day. To reach Spiaggia di Calalunga, visitors can take the SS89 highway and follow the signs to Peschici. Once in the small village of Peschici, they should head towards the waterfront and continue for a few kilometers until they reach the beach. It is also accessible by bus or shuttle from the Peschici harbor. Parking at Spiaggia di Calalunga is ample and free of charge, making it easily accessible for those traveling by car.
