The beach is relatively small, spanning a width of 84 meters, and is made up of untouched gravel. One of the unique features of Spiaggia di Portogreco is the natural arch of Porto Greco, a typical characteristic of the Gargano coast. This arch was formed by the sea and wind erosion on the karst rock, adding to the allure of this beach. Despite its serene setting, Spiaggia di Portogreco does not provide any amenities for visitors. There are no services available on the beach, and there are no restaurants or eateries in the immediate vicinity, so visitors are advised to bring their own food and drinks. Access to Spiaggia di Portogreco is only possible by foot. Visitors can reach the beach by traversing a 400-meter path that connects the SP54 Vieste-Mattinata road to the beach. Although there is no designated parking area, cars are usually parked off the road near the path. However, visitors are urged to exercise caution while parking their vehicles, as there have been reports of car break-ins in the area. It is recommended that visitors do not leave any valuables in their cars. Despite these challenges, Spiaggia di Portogreco remains a tranquil spot to spend a day while exploring the beauty of Apulia.
