Nestled along the Baia dei Trabucchi on the Gargano promontory, the beach is about two kilometers from the tourist hotspot of Peschici. It is situated in a small cove within a protected natural area, adding to its serenity and charm. The beach is known for its clean sea and sandy shore, which stretches approximately 200 meters. It is also adorned with a small grotto, a natural characteristic that enhances its beauty.
The beach's seabed is shallow, making it suitable for families with children and less experienced swimmers. The water clarity is exceptional, with its color ranging from emerald green to deep blue. The beach is protected from the south winds and remains shaded in the late afternoon, offering an ideal setting for relaxation. On either side of the beach, rocky points add to the scenic landscape. On the right side, there is a traditional fishing machine known as a "trabucco," which now serves mainly as a tourist attraction.
Spiaggia di Procinisco has been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag, signifying the purity of its waters, the beauty of the location, and the quality of its services. It is well-organized with amenities such as showers and toilets. A small section of the beach is free, while the rest is managed by a hotel and private villa owners. This arrangement often results in the free beach area being crowded. However, despite the crowd, the beach maintains a quiet and cosy atmosphere, being larger than other nearby beaches.
There are various services and activities for vacationers, including a nearby camping site and a restaurant that serves typical Italian/Apulian cuisine. Visitors can rent an umbrella or bring their own, and sun loungers are available for rent as well. The beach area is mainly occupied by these sun loungers and umbrellas.
Parking at Spiaggia di Procinisco is convenient, with a large parking area available for visitors. However, the road to access the beach is quite steep, which visitors should take into account. The beach can be reached either by descending from the "Tuppo delle Pile" trail or by driving down the steep descent.
